While on a mini-vacation with the family, we met the owners at a resort we were staying at. They invited us to watch a boxing match at Southbound Bar. The bar is a local spot with the most AMAZING staff. We were greeted warmly while walking up to the bar, and with multiple rounds of shots. It's a friendly atmosphere where everyone knows everyone, and make any out-of-towner feel welcome. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for some low-key fun. Huge plus..the drinks are tasty and generous!!

Neighborhood Bar lives up to its name as the kind of place where you can settle in for the evening and actually enjoy yourself. The bartender was genuinely friendly—not just going through the motions, but actually engaging in conversation and making sure everyone felt welcome.The live DJ kept the energy up without drowning out conversation, which is harder to pull off than you'd think. Music selection hit that sweet spot between crowd-pleasers and some deeper cuts that showed they actually know what they're doing behind the decks.The pool tables were in good condition and got plenty of use throughout the night. It's nice to find a bar that still prioritizes having actual activities beyond just drinking. The whole setup creates a relaxed atmosphere where you can grab a drink, shoot some pool with friends, or just hang out and listen to good music.Nothing fancy or pretentious here—just a solid neighborhood joint that delivers on the basics and does them well. The kind of place that makes you want to become a regular.Would definitely recommend for casual nights out, especially if you're looking for something more interactive than your typical bar scene.

good food, great drinks, and even better service. hailey was amazing, we got served quick and she made our whole experience fun and memorable. will definitely be returning to see her again

Someone told me about this place for two months now. And finally came to check it out. I must say, we were very impressed. The atmosphere, the decor and just the ambiance overall is fantastic. The owners really paid attention to details. The bathrooms are nice, the furniture is comfortable. They have chargers for the phone and hooks for your purses. Great job! Keep the good work up!!

The service was great Hailey (patriots jersey) was the bartender who served and she made the Super Bowl much more enjoyable!! If you visit make sure to ask for her . Great sense of humor ! Overall 9/10 experience. Next time I’m visiting Galveston I’m sure to stop by again

Great atmosphere and environment, they had wings and food for Super Bowl. Haley was on top of the drinks, accommodating to others in a fast way, never had to wait and everything was so smooth. Highly recommend.

I come here for the karaoke on Sundays with Debbie Kepi, the Karaoke Queen, the hostess with the mostest. And folks it is always great service when your bartender, Haley, will go to any extent to get a Lone Star in my hand. I heard that she'll drive the Texas City to get a Lone Star for a customer. How about that service! Luckily, when they ran out of Lone Star in the well she only had to walk in the back room and brought back a handful of Lone stars for me. Cool. And thank you. Hold on . She just brought me another cold one, and I didn't have to ask. Oh Haley. Rock on. Ok folks, this bar is Chuck Miller approved. Get in here. The End. By Chuck Miller.

I was there on Sunday and the service was great. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Clean place and awesome bartender Hailey was very friendly and on top of her drinks. Definitely go and see her!

The recent facelift for this bar has really made it a welcoming and mellow atmosphere. Their drinks are confident and of decent quality, even the well selection. The service is amazing! Cotrell is attentive, down to earth and an absolute delight. I will definitely be back and will send others that way and well. 💯
